Hmmm. Something you saw in Italy; looks like decorative masks/images on a villa wall? Something theatrical, or mythical….. not very large….. Google images thinks they’re cartoon figures!

Dante’s Inferno? Or maybe the Pope’s bathroom? I was going with Incan or Mayan carvings until Ellie nailed it down.
I think I’ve seen Etruscan images like those, but, now can’t find any…
